Prior to CMP, Michael was a Principal at Blackstone, where he helped lead its technology private equity investing activity in various end markets including government and education. While at Blackstone, he was involved in seven platform investments totaling approximately $45bn of enterprise value and served on five boards including Cvent, Ellucian and Renaissance Learning.
Prior to Blackstone, Michael worked with the CMP team as a member of Carlyle’s Aerospace, Defense & Government Services team. During that time, he was involved in Carlyle’s investments in Booz Allen Hamilton, Novetta and Sequa.
Michael received an AB in Economics and Government from Harvard College and an MBA from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Palmer Scholar and interned for Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (parent company of Philadelphia 76ers, New Jersey Devils and Crystal Palace F.C.). He lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife and daughter.
