Our Team

Ellen Kim is a Managing Director at Capitol Meridian. In her role leading value creation efforts, she will partner closely with the investment teams, portfolio company management, and outside Board members to accelerate growth through strategic alignment and operational excellence.

Prior to CMP, Ellen was an Operating Partner at Rotunda Capital Partners where she helped build the firm’s value creation team and approach.  She supported multiple portfolio companies starting from the diligence phase and stepped in as Interim CFO at numerous portfolio companies.

Ellen’s previous professional experiences have spanned across the public and private sectors. She spent over a decade in the hospitality sector as CFO for a private equity-backed, national fast casual brand and was a Director at AlixPartners in the Restaurant and Hospitality practice.  Prior to that, she was a political appointee at the U.S. Small Business Administration (“SBA”) and co-led the SBA transition team during an Administration change.  Ellen started her career in the Municipal Securities Division at Citigroup.

Ellen serves on the Board and is the Treasurer of Future Caucus, a non-profit dedicated to supporting young legislators at the state and federal level to bridge the partisan divide.  She has been an active member of the Council of Korean Americans since its founding.  She holds a B.S. in Economics from MIT and an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
